In 1974 Turkey illegally invaded the Republic of Cyprus:

200,000 Greek Cypriots were ethnically cleansed from their ancestral homes

6,000 Greek Cypriots including civilians were murdered or tortured to death

more than 1,500 missing persons are still unaccounted for

1,000 Greek Cypriot women were raped by Turkish troops

the Christian heritage of Cyprus has been destroyed in order to eradicate the historical identity of the island

Turkey has since created a racist apartheid regime in the occupied north that forbids anyone of Greek name or origin to enter or return

Turkey has illegally imported 100,000 colonists into the occupied areas in an attempt to permanently alter the demographic composition of the island

Since the invasion 40,000 Turkish Cypriots have fled the occupied zone

To this day Turkey occupies 37% of Cypriot territory in violation of over 90 United Nations resolutions that call for the removal of all Turkish troops and the restoration of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Republic of Cyprus

Lobby for Cyprus calls for the reunification of Cyprus and the immediate implementation of the 3Rs:

Lobby for Cyprus urges the EU to accept the 3Rs as the minimum for a viable and lasting settlement in Cyprus. Turkey must be told in no uncertain terms that it cannot expect to be treated as an EU state until it learns to abide by EU norms and in particular has taken steps to facilitate the 3Rs.
