"CYPRIOTS PROTEST IN A HUMAN RIGHTS RALLY

Thousands of Cypriots from the 300,000-strong commmunity in the UK are converging on London this afternoon.

It is in protest against the 25th anniversary of the Turkish invasion of Cyprus and the continuing military occupation of one third of the island.

The campaigners are now gathered at Trafalgar Square where they are staging a vigil.

Protesters will then pickett the Turkish Embassy. A spokesman said: "Nato should tell tell Turkey to move her troops out."
