“We are Turkish Cypriots and our interests are not with Turkey. We are looking for our interests as Cypriots. A recent survey by Kibris [Turkish Cypriot newspaper] showed that 90% of Turkish Cypriots want to join the EU. You have an ethical duty to help us. We need your support, if you fail we will suffer.”
