To Senator Xenophon: Expressing thanks for raising Cyprus issue

Dear Senator Xenophon

Lobby for Cyprus wishes to express its deepest thanks for your efforts to bring Australia’s attention to the ongoing situation in Cyprus (your father’s ‘homeland”).

The opinion of Australia matters in the world, and we hope that you will be encouraged to continue your efforts.

Lobby for Cyprus is a non-party-political organisation made up of 17 village associations in addition to private individuals seeking the reunification of the island, and we campaign for the removal of the 43,000 strong Turkish army of occupation, the repatriation of the 160,000 Anatolian colonists who have been imported into the north to change its demographics, and the return of the 200,000 refugees to their homes.

In this effort, we have produced much material and we will gladly send any and all of the literature, should you think they will help your much-appreciated efforts.

Once again, please accept our deepest thanks for your efforts.  Actions such as your’s outside Britain encourages us to strive even harder here.
