Holidays where ethnic cleansing has taken place

Holidays where ethnic cleansing has taken place

I am anxiously awaiting your next "Independent Reader Offer contained within the folds of a future edition of the Independent." I am wondering whether it will feature Lebanon, South of the Litani river? Or perhaps war torn Beirut? If not why do you feel it appropriate to promote holidays to what you describe as "North Cyprus"? 180,000 Greek Cypriots were ethnically cleansed from there in 1974 by Turkish troops. 40,000 troops illegally remain there contrary to a host of UN resolutions. No country recognises the illegal regime in the part of Cyprus under illegal military occupation yet you chose not to mention this in your reader offer. This smacks of gross hypocrisy on your part or perhaps massive ignorance. Either way perhaps you would be honest enough with your readers, to whom you are making this offer, to present the true picture to them.
